Last fall, a new member joined our Cumberland Family. He has four legs, a tail, and is full of fur. Can you guess what he is? It is Mr. T, my cat. I adopted him from our local Humane Society. Mr. T has a lot of fun, but most of all, he loves to sleep on the big blue mat and eat. At night, Mr. T likes to sneak into my bedroom and snuggle up at the foot of my bed.
When Mr. T looks out the windows, he is always bird watching. When he does find a bird he shakes his tail back and forth and makes this low pitch kitty sound. He watches every move the bird will make. Mr. T would be a great hunter if I let him outside.
Mr. T can also be found in the kitchen at dinner time. I’m telling you, this cat is so smart. If we are cooking chicken or tuna, he comes running. Or he will just lay around in the middle of the kitchen floor. Watch out! Don’t run Mr. T over! MEEEOOOWWW!
On nice days, Mr. T loves to go out on the back patio to get brushed. I go out back with him and one of my staff will help me brush him. I cannot believe the fur that comes off of him. You could seriously make a “feline sweater”! I will be making and selling them for $29.95 plus tax next fall! (Just kidding, LOL.)
Remember, pets are part of our family. They need love and care just like we do. They also need to visit the vet for check-ups. Also, as the weather gets warmer, make sure your pets have plenty of fresh, clean water!
